Last November 22, 2017, the Sangguniang Panlunsod approved the separation of Bagumbong High School-Annex from Bagumbong High School-Main. Finally, the school changed its name to "Antonio Luna High School which the Sangguniang Palunsod approved last July 4, 2018.
